How is Evergreen different than other commercial cleaning companies?

Evergreen Cleaning Co. was grown from a passion for reducing harmful chemicals in our lives paired with a knack for cleaning very well, leaving a healthier and more productive workplace for our clients to achieve their goals. We are the premier non-toxic property cleaning solution for commercial, industrial, and residential clients!

Evergreen Cleaning Co. serves our communities through leadership in high quality eco-cleaning services and environmental stewardship. How long has Evergreen been in business?

Evergreen Cleaning Company, LLC was created in 2016 to address the need for high quality non-toxic commercial and residential cleaning solutions. After three successful and sustainable years of growth in Central Pennsylvania, the parent organization Evergreen Environmental Group, LLC was formed June 2019 with the purpose of expanding Evergreen Cleaning Co.’s services and service area.

What is unique about Evergreen services?

Our services focus on our products, processes, and people being as high quality and eco-friendly as possible. We are able to sustain our quality due to years of personnel and project management experience in private sector organizations. Our unique approach provides you with one phone number to call and Evergreen takes care of the rest! We have listened to what works for our clients and know that timely communication is critical, so we have kept our organizational structure flat to allow quick adjustments when something can be more efficient. We have empowered our people to help improve the process by tracking data from the beginning, providing routine facility-specific insights and other resources to show what is going on beyond the appearance.

What is Green Cleaning?

Cleaning “green” for a cleaning service provider refers to the practice of using products and processes that do not have harmful effects on people and on the environment.

Why clean using natural products rather than traditional chemicals?

Traditional chemical cleaners may disinfect surfaces, however they leave behind toxic residue for us to touch and breathe. Over time, this residue deteriorates your property and health. Our products go beyond what you see and smell, to kill and remove the germs with anti-microbial blends that improve sanitation and indoor air quality. What cleaning standards does Evergreen follow?

To assure we are providing the safest and most environmentally sustainable services available, Evergreen follows several sets of standards. Occupational Safety and Health Administration provides guidelines for cleaning providers within various industries. International Standards Organization provides their ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 9001 (Quality) standards for cleaning providers to follow. GreenSeal is a non-profit organization seen as a leader in providing science-based environmental certification standards. Although Evergreen is not yet certified, we use their GS-42 standards (all 53 pages!) to assure we are providing the safest and most environmentally sustainable services available.

What is cross-contamination?

This term refers to spreading germs from one area to another.  Areas of higher concern include restrooms and breakrooms. We have streamlined our sanitation processes in accordance with OSHA, ISO, and GreenSeal standards to remove bacteria in a contained manner.

Why use microfiber towels?

Microfiber is an excellent material for sanitizing soiled surfaces – truly a step up from cloth rags. It is designed with channels that lock in dirt and grime. We use microfiber in various applications and are color coded to avoid cross-contamination.

*Due to new research concerning ocean water pollution, our microfiber cloths have been through a thorough pre-washing filtration process to catch and remove the shedding microfibers from initial use.

In what other ways is Evergreen eco-friendly?

In short, every way possible categorized into three main areas: Products, Process, and People. We get excited about this topic and often use a longer explanation.

Products – Apart from our own natural products, supplies purchased for facilities are made from recycled or eco-friendly and sustainably sourced materials. We also use HEPA vacuums and diffuse a few drops of the essential oil while vacuuming (an equally pleasing experience for our staff). Another FAQ describes our use of microfiber, which has changed the game for cleaning providers, most importantly with germ containment.
Process – We source our supplies from eco-friendly providers to lessen the environmental impact. Our internal operations are efficient, saving time and energy costs and when there is room for improvement, we engage our clients in discussion and solutions.
People – Our people are trained following several sets of standards. We are very picky during recruitment to find the most qualified staff that share our values in high quality green cleaning.

How much do cleaning services cost?

Every client has a different set of cleaning needs.  There are many variables to consider when determining cost, such as; square footage, frequency, building layout, foot traffic, etc. We’ve helped ease the process by organizing our services into two main groups:

Interior Cleaning | Exterior Cleaning

How does Evergreen calculate their quote?

Our rates are very competitive for Interior Cleaning and range from a few hundred dollars per month to thousands of dollars per month depending on your facility specifics. Exterior Cleaning rates are provided on a case-by-case basis. Again, building size and specifics and the amount of detail needed have an impact on pricing.

A company representative will schedule a time to come on site and formally meet, walk through, and discuss your needs.  Once the walk through is complete, a service estimate will be sent for review. Once approved, a start date will be scheduled.

What to expect when Evergreen services start at my property?

Prior to our first day cleaning at your property, we will arrange a time to coordinate anything needed to gain building access.  This may consist of a key, key card, fob, and/or security code or even water spigot access for exterior cleaning jobs. During this meeting, we will also take notes of safety, security and access features to include in our building specific protocol that stays with our staff while onsite.

On Day 1 we will implement your cleaning schedule and start to track data to allow us to improve and report our processes.  This is also the first day of the “restoration” phase which can take 30-60 days, depending on the condition of your facility. Inevitably, there may be additional details, questions, and insights to follow-up on, so be on the lookout for an email within a day or two of our initial cleaning.

What are Evergreen Essentials?

This describes our key duties within Janitorial Services, and includes:

Does Evergreen provide residential cleaning services?

Evergreen DOES NOT provide occupied residential interior cleaning (house cleaning, housekeeping, maid services, etc.) at this time. However, many of the staff within our janitorial service teams have years of experience in this trade and often DO provide unoccupied residential interior cleaning. This may include a rental, new purchase, or even construction cleaning. 

Who will be cleaning my property?

For Janitorial clients, at least two staff will be cleaning your facility. This includes a Cleaning Staff Supervisor and Cleaning Specialist with a Project Manager on-call. All Evergreen staff are thoroughly trained to assure compliance with regulatory and internal policies and procedures. In addition, the team will strictly follow the cleaning schedule approved prior to Day 1.

For Exterior Cleaning clients (depending on the size of job), at least 1 staff will be on site and most likely during the day hours, always with a Project Manager on-call.

What hours does Evergreen operate?

Our clients’ hours of operation vary, so we make our services available any time of day or night. Staff are trained in day cleaning procedures to reduce noise and interruption, while night cleaning hours start after 4:00pm when many of our clients are closed for the day. If business is closed to the public, but your staff are still finishing up their work, we may get started with our procedures. This also allows for a little face-time with our clients. However, if it is past your posted hours of operation, but you still are doing business with the public, we will wait to start our procedures until you’re finished.
